What is Email Marketing Automation?
Email Marketing Automation is free email marketing software that you install on your own Windows PC or server. Import your contact list, design a template, and send or schedule personalised campaigns from your own email account.
Emails go out through your own SMTP server or mailbox (Gmail, Microsoft 365 or any other), so there are no per-email or per-contact fees. Your contact list stays in your own SQL Server database.
Use it as a bulk email sender for newsletters and offers, an email campaign scheduler, and a welcome email automation tool. Daily limits and batch sizes help you send in bulk without going over your email provider’s sending limits.

Contacts and groups
Add contacts with name, company and group, and organise them into audience groups for targeted campaigns.
CSV and Excel import
Import contacts from a CSV or XLSX file up to 10 MB. Invalid, duplicate and unsubscribed addresses are skipped automatically.
Personalised HTML templates
Save reusable HTML templates and personalise each email with {{CustomerName}} and {{CompanyName}}. Preview an email before you save it.
Campaign scheduling
Send a campaign to one group or all active contacts. Save it as a draft, schedule it for later, send it now, or cancel a scheduled send.
Welcome and follow-up automation
A welcome email goes to every new contact automatically, followed by one follow-up after the number of days you choose.
Unsubscribe handling
Every marketing email includes a personal unsubscribe link. Unsubscribed addresses are excluded from future campaigns, even if the contact is re-imported.
Sending limits
Set a daily limit and a batch size so you stay within your email provider’s sending limits and protect your sender reputation.
Reports and logs
See sent campaigns, successful emails and delivery failures on the dashboard, with the time and details of every attempt.

You will need
- 64-bit Windows 10, 11 or Windows Server
- Microsoft SQL Server Express, Developer or Standard
- An SMTP email account (for Gmail, an app password)
Get started
- Run the installer and choose an installation folder.
- From the Start menu, run “Initialize EmailMarketingAutomation Database”.
- Run “Start EmailMarketingAutomation”, create your administrator account, then add your SMTP settings.
The installation guide has every step. The setup creates the database for you; download the database script only if you prefer to create it by hand.

Yes. You can download the installer, user manual, installation guide and database script at no cost, with no sign-up. Emails are sent through your own email account, so there are no per-email fees from us.
Yes. Enter the SMTP host, port, login, password and a verified sender address in Settings. Gmail generally needs two-step verification and an app password.
Choose Import on the Contacts page and select a CSV or XLSX file up to 10 MB. The first row must have an Email column; Name and Company are optional.
Yes. Every marketing email gets a personal unsubscribe link. For recipients to open it, set the app’s public HTTPS address instead of a local address.
No. The installer includes everything the app needs. You only need Microsoft SQL Server, and the free Express edition works.
Your contacts and campaigns are stored in the EMADB database on your own SQL Server, so back it up with your usual SQL Server backups, especially before updating or uninstalling.
